Attorney David Benowitz is one of the founding partners of Price Benowitz, LLP. Though only bar approved in Washington, DC and Maryland, David Benowitz still plays an active role in leading the Virginia criminal defense office. David has spent the entirety of his legal career fighting for the rights of clients. He holds the esteemed “AV” Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been designated a member of the National Trial Lawyers Association – Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Benowitz is also a faculty member at Harvard Law School’s nationally-known Trial Advocacy Workshop and regularly teaches as a professorial lecturer in law at the George Washington University Law School.
Attorney Karin Riley Porter came to Price Benowitz after serving nine years as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Virginia. As a representative of the state, Porter handled cases ranging from DUIs to serious violent felonies, such as robberies and homicides. Karin has literally tried thousands of cases during her lengthy legal career. And it’s precisely this depth of experience as a former prosecutor that makes Porter such a valuable defense attorney. She is also a participating member of the National College for DUI Defense.
Thomas Soldan has practiced law in the commonwealth for several years, litigating a variety of cases, from personal injury to criminal defense. He has experience working with prosecutors and judges in Alexandria, Manassas Park, Falls Church, Haymarket, Leesburg, Vienna, Warrenton, and Fredericksburg, and he also developed an in depth knowledge of the court systems in numerous area counties, including Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and more. A lover of baseball, Thomas is like an All-Star utility player, with experience in civil litigation, medical malpractice defense, traffic defense, personal injury claims, and criminal defense. Thomas is also the past president of the Fauquier County Bar Association, a current member of the Virginia Bar Association, and the insurance regulation vice chairman with the American Bar Association.
